Description

Nativity of Mary School is seeking a PreK-8 Music teacher starting in the 2025-2026 school year. Candidates must be student-centered, have high expectations, and an enthusiastic approach to working with students and their families.

The mission of Nativity of Mary Catholic School is to provide a Catholic education that fosters academic, spiritual, social, and emotional growth while preparing students to become impactful members of our community and world. We aim to inspire our children to become the saints of the future! We’re a two homeroom per grade level, preschool-8th grade institution dedicated to our vocation as Catholic educators, who work together to help our students be the best they can be!

Our new Music Teacher will prepare each day's lesson plans for students grade PreK-8, communicate regularly with school families, attend teacher meetings, and perform other duties as assigned. In addition to classroom duties, the music teacher will plan liturgical music for weekly school Mass.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate:

• BA/BS Degree and MN Teaching License (aligned with subjects taught)
• Practicing Catholic with a desire to share the faith
• Strong dedication to Catholic education and mission
• Engaging teaching style that supports academic excellence and individual student needs
• Strong classroom management and ability to create a welcoming learning environment
• Effective communicator and collaborator with students, families, and staff
• Commitment to professional growth
• Experience preferred
• Completed background check, code of conduct, and VIRTUS training
