Qualifications

• Successfully passed the Paraprofessional test, OR 48 college credits or more, OR a Bachelor's Degree (preferred).
• Experience with the appropriate age group.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teacher with developmentally appropriate activities meeting the varied developmental needs of students, including ELL students.
• Assist students into and out of buildings and classrooms; may include lifting and carrying.
• Assist teacher during activities such as field trips and emergency drills.
• Assist teacher with classroom routines such as snack, washing dishes, clean-up, bathroom and other similar activities.
• Assist teacher in maintaining a healthy and safe environment for children and perform such other tasks as assigned by the building principal.
• For HEALTH positions, assist with feeding, changing diapers, and toileting children.
