Job summary

Moss is seeking a Preflight Technician to review client-supplied art, identify issues, and prepare layouts for approval and production. The role requires strong Adobe CS skills and collaboration with Customer Success Managers, Production, and clients in a fast-paced environment.

One year of experience in the sign/printing/graphics industry and formal training with Adobe CS products are required; some overtime may be needed based on plant workflow.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in printing technology or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum one year practical experience in graphic production or as graphic artist.
• Working knowledge of Macintosh and Windows platforms, operating systems and graphics software.
• Math skills including algebra, geometry, fractions, and unit conversions.
• Good eyesight and attention to detail; ability to focus quickly.

Responsibilities

• Preflight and format client art for approval and production printing.
• Create layouts for client approval and production.
• Open, manipulate and set up files using Adobe Creative Suite for approval and production.
• Communicate with CSM and customer to provide direction for art preparation.
• Update production schedule and work orders as required.
• Ensure art resolution, color accuracy, and print readiness.
