Job summary

DPR Construction seeks a Project Engineer for Prefabrication in the Texas area. You will coordinate design details, production data, and field integration activities to ensure prefab components meet design, schedule, and quality standards.

Under limited supervision, you will support shop coordination, production readiness, and material flow, aligning fabrication with approved design and project requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CM/engineering/architecture or equivalent experience.
• 2–4 years of project engineering experience; prefabrication exposure preferred.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification preferred; completion within 6 months of hire is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates submittals, shop drawings, and models to support production and installation of prefabricated components and closeout support.
• Tracks progress of fabrication and delivery activities, identifying potential schedule or coordination issues.
• Assists in maintaining project documentation including procurement efforts and development of project BOM and communication between design, production, and field teams.
• Supports field readiness and installation by verifying site conditions and interface tolerances, and supports documentation of incomplete and completed work.
• Participates in constructability reviews and contributes to continuous improvement of prefab workflows.
• Ensures adherence to safety procedures, quality standards, and DPR Prefab Entity policies during fabrication and installation.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field, or equivalent experience required
