Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking a Prefab Technical Writer to transform complex engineering information into clear, customer-ready documentation for prefabricated modular data center solutions. You will collaborate with engineering, project execution, and product management to support installation, operation, and commissioning of the systems.

The role requires strong technical writing, attention to detail, and the ability to work with CAD models, electrical, mechanical, and cooling disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technical communication, or a related technical field (Electrical/Mechanical/Industrial or Systems preferred).
• 1–3 years of experience in technical writing or related discipline.
• Ability to translate complex engineering information into clear content.
• Ability to interpret CAD drawings and engineering specifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop, revise, and maintain customer-facing technical documentation for prefabricated modular data center solutions.
• Create installation manuals covering enclosure, electrical, hydraulic, and installation requirements.
• Develop operation manuals, technical specs, and sequence-of-operation documents.
• Document procedures for operating primary equipment and reference OEM docs.
• Translate complex engineering content into clear instructions for technical audiences.
• Develop and update technical images, diagrams, and tables for final documentation.
