Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking a Project Engineer in the United States to coordinate and prepare all technical documentation for a prefabricated modular datacenter solution, ensuring adherence to customer requirements and project schedule.

The role partners with Project Managers, Technical Leaders, and SMEs, supporting factory personnel through build, test, and closeout, while maintaining rigorous design control and documentation quality.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering (ABET preferred).
• Data Center critical infrastructure knowledge (Power, Cooling, Monitoring).
• Experience using REVIT and Autodesk tools (REVIT, AutoCAD 2D, Bluebeam).

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly understand design documents, specifications, references, and project scope.
• Keep minutes for all regular and technical design meetings.
• Develop approval drawings to meet customer scope.
• Perform change management for design documents and submittals.
• Manage engineering work schedules and assign tasks to designers and SMEs.
• Track design deviations and notify for resolution.
• Revise and approve fabrication drawings.
• Develop major bill of materials for the project.
• Maintain design submittals, shop drawings, and engineering hours budget.
• Secure warranties from subcontractors and vendors as defined.
• Prepare final documentation for the project (as-builts, O&M, etc.).
