Job summary

Wintermute in New York is seeking a quantitative trader with strong Python skills to monitor and trade prediction markets in real time across Kalshi and Polymarket. You will develop and implement market-making strategies and help build a greenfield predictions stack.

The role offers hands-on ownership, exposure to a leading algorithmic trading firm, and opportunities to contribute to Wintermute Americas’ expansion.

Qualifications

• Strong Python programming ability (1–3 years) demonstrated via work, study, or personal projects.
• Excellent quantitative and analytical capabilities; able to derive insights from data.
• Demonstrated interest in prediction markets (trading, discussions, following developments).
• Ownership mindset focused on P&L and growing the business and partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and trade prediction markets in real time across Kalshi, Polymarket and similar venues.
• Implement and iterate strategies across categories (sports, up/down markets, elections, weather).
• Be hands-on across the stack, contribute to building a greenfield predictions platform.
