Job summary

Emerald Isle Foods LLC, based in Richmond, VA, is seeking a detail‑oriented Selector to join our warehouse team. You will receive order assignments from dispatch and build efficient routes for the next day, aiming to prevent shorts and mis-shipments.

Job Summary:

The Selector receives order assignments from warehouse dispatch and builds the routes that will be going out the next day. Responsible for avoiding shorts, miss-ships and damaged or outdated product going out to customers.

Essential Job Functions:

• Manage all labels printed for every route and filling the orders accurately, palletized by route.
• Managing any add-ons for those routes and getting them together with the rest of the route.
• Opening and closing routes when complete and accurate. Reporting short products to the supervisor.
• Check quality of product and production date to ensure only the best quality is shipped to customers.
• Making sure the boards with shorts are noted and the drivers do not leave without their entire Pre-Cut behind.
• Cleaning and organizing the work area at shift end.

Working Conditions:

• This position requires irregular hours to include nights, weekends, and some holidays.
• Temperatures can be as low as 35 degrees in some areas.
• The noise level is moderate.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift at least 20lbs.
• Standing 100% in 38-degree environment.
