Job summary

EverOn is seeking a VP, Preconstruction to lead the end-to-end preconstruction phase of our data center portfolio across the United States. You will drive the estimating, budgeting, design coordination, procurement strategy, and scheduling efforts to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience leading end-to-end preconstruction for data center projects.
• Strong budgeting, estimating and scheduling skills.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams across estimating, procurement, scheduling and design coordination.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive preconstruction strategy aligned with growth objectives.
• Oversee preconstruction activities across various datacenter projects to ensure accurate estimates, budgets, and schedules.
• Provide oversight of estimating quality and budget development at each design milestone.
• Lead development of conceptual to GMP-level estimates with defensible pricing.
• Establish constructability review and value engineering processes with design teams.
• Own preconstruction scheduling integrating design, permitting, procurement and bid milestones.
• Coordinate with BIM and digital estimating tools to enhance take-off accuracy and collaboration.
• Build and lead high-performing multidisciplinary teams across estimating, procurement and scheduling.
• Partner with HR to recruit and develop top-tier preconstruction talent.
• Own preconstruction budgets, forecasts and financial performance.
• Review estimates and proposals prior to client submission and ensure financial discipline.
• Lead negotiations during preconstruction to secure favorable terms with subcontractors and vendors.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and safety planning during preconstruction.
• Develop risk management strategies and contingency planning before construction start.
• Build relationships with clients, design teams, subcontractors and stakeholders.
