Job summary

Bensonwood, a Walpole, NH design-build leader, seeks a Director of Preconstruction to guide our preconstruction team and align with executive leadership. This role drives standards, workflows, and client engagement from sales handoff to Build Contract, partnering with Sales, Design, Engineering, Procurement, Production, and PM to optimize conversions and profitability.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in construction/preconstruction, with 5+ years in leadership, strong budgeting and risk

Qualifications

• 10+ years in construction/design-build/preconstruction/PM roles.
• 5+ years leading technical/client-facing teams.
• Strong estimating, budgeting, design-build delivery experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead Preconstruction team and develop performance metrics.
• Collaborate with Sales, Design, Engineering, Procurement, Production, and PM to improve handoffs.
• Oversee budgets, schedules, and risk management for projects.
• Drive SOPs, workflows, and process improvements across preconstruction.
• Engage with clients as executive-level contact during preconstruction phases.
