Valor Contracting seeks a Preconstruction Manager to lead estimating, budgeting, and design collaboration from feasibility through GMP, serving as a bridge between design, budgeting, and execution teams. This role ensures constructability, value engineering, and risk management to deliver on schedule and client objectives for multi-million dollar projects.

Based at our West Fargo, ND Headquarters, on-site, full-time, exempt.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in project management, preconstruction or estimating on multi-million dollar projects.
• Experience estimating and managing preconstruction activities across all scopes of work.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage cost estimating through all project phases and budgets.
• Conduct quantity take-offs and pricing analyses using market data.
• Collaborate with architects and engineers to align design with budget.
• Lead constructability reviews to identify risks and improve delivery.
• Develop bid packages; manage subcontractor prequalification and bids.
• Plan project schedules, assess risks, and coordinate permitting.
• Coordinate preconstruction to execution handoff and client liaison.
• Maintain preconstruction records and post-project reviews.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
