Job summary

Warfel Construction Company is seeking a Preconstruction Manager in Winchester, VA to support a team across multiple locations. You will collaborate with clients, design consultants and internal teams to ensure milestones are met during preconstruction, including schedules, cost estimates, and value management.

You will participate in the estimating process, develop master schedules and site logistics, review contracts, and help transition projects to construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
• Minimum of 5 years' preconstruction management or estimating experience.
• Knowledge of building systems and the construction process.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to lead a project team.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Business Development, Estimating, and Operations on project approach and deliverables.
• Develop and maintain client and consultant relationships.
• Coordinate client requests with the project team.
• Assemble preconstruction deliverables and participate in Value Management.
• Develop preconstruction schedules, master project schedules, and site logistics plans.
• Lead the estimating process through Preconstruction and Hard Bid projects.
• Coordinate and obtain necessary project permits and conduct constructability reviews.
• Review contracts with clients and participate in negotiations.
• Support transition of project to construction phase and procurement planning.
• Provide guidance and leadership to assigned project team.
