Job summary

Alston Construction is seeking a Preconstruction Manager for its Cold Storage Division in Nashville, TN. You will oversee the preconstruction phase, assist with business development, and deliver competitive proposals to win profitable projects.

The role requires a degree in construction-related fields and at least 8 years of estimating experience, with strong knowledge of CM delivery methods and cost engineering.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of experience estimating (conceptual and hard bid) construction projects.
• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Experience with design-build, CM at risk, or GMP delivery.
• Experience in value-engineering and cost analysis.

Responsibilities

• Assist management in preconstruction through supervision and coordination.
• Develop thorough, accurate, and competitive project proposals.
• Estimate costs from concept through permit documents.
• Lead bid solicitation and coordinate with design teams.
• Identify value-engineering opportunities to improve cost efficiency.
