Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple projects from concept through bidding, design, and subcontract bidding phases to ensure project alignment and success
  • Solicit subcontractor and supplier bids using electronic and verbal communication to secure competitive proposals
  • Review bid documents and perform quantity take-offs for accurate project assessment
  • Order and distribute bid documents to keep all stakeholders informed and prepared
  • Participate in pre-bid conferences to clarify project requirements and expectations
  • Visit proposed sites to assess existing conditions and potential challenges
  • Monitor sub-bidders’ participation during the bid process to ensure comprehensive coverage
  • Consult with project managers and superintendents regarding schedules and special considerations to facilitate project planning
  • Input take-off data into computer estimating programs for accurate and efficient analysis
  • Set up bid tabulation forms with critical questions to evaluate subcontractor bids effectively
  • Prepare Qualification Attachments to bid forms to ensure compliance with project requirements
  • Arrange for bid bonds and insurance reviews as required to mitigate project risks
  • Submit and follow-up on RFIs to the architect to resolve ambiguities and align designs with project needs
  • Participate with pre-construction services team on bid day to facilitate effective decision-making
  • Analyze and tabulate sub-bids to support informed contract decisions
  • Compile post-bid files to document the process and outcomes for future reference
  • Update the sub/supplier database to maintain accurate and current vendor information
  • Participate in post-bid interviews to help secure project approval and client satisfaction
  • Prepare conceptual estimates from limited information to support early project planning
  • Adhere to Rogers-O’Brien policies and regulatory standards to ensure safety and compliance
