Job summary

Niche SSP - No.1 for Estimating Talent in Atlanta, GA is seeking an experienced estimator to lead preconstruction for large-scale Multifamily and Data Center projects in the Southeast. You will manage projects from conceptual budgeting through GMP and handoff, develop budgets and GMP estimates, lead subcontractor bidding, and coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, and operations teams.

This role requires strong client-facing communication, a 5+ year background in commercial construction

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial construction estimating or preconstruction experience with a General Contractor.
• Multifamily and/or Data Center experience required.
• Strong experience managing projects through conceptual estimating, design development, and GMP.
• Experience managing large and complex construction projects preferred.
• Strong knowledge of subcontractor solicitation, bid leveling, scope development, and procurement.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications across multiple trades.

Responsibilities

• Lead value engineering and cost-control exercises while maintaining project requirements.
• Develop clear scopes of work and bid packages.
• Lead client budget presentations and communicate cost changes throughout design.
• Coordinate procurement strategies for long-lead materials and critical trades.
• Support project scheduling, logistics, and overall preconstruction planning.
• Assist in mentoring junior members of the estimating and preconstruction team.
