Job summary

Horwitz is seeking a Preconstruction Manager to lead all preconstruction activities from concept through turnover. You will oversee estimating, proposals, design coordination, and client engagement with cross‑functional teams to deliver cost‑effective, constructible solutions.

You will mentor engineers and estimators, maintain key client relationships, and drive improvements in processes, bidding, and presentation quality across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CM or mechanical engineering or related field.
• 7–10 years in mechanical preconstruction, estimating, or PM.
• Proven success leading design‑assist and design‑build projects.
• Experience managing client relationships and delivering competitive proposals.

Responsibilities

• Lead all preconstruction activities from bid invitation to turnover.
• Oversee estimating and proposal teams for bids, budgets, and RFPs.
• Coordinate with design partners to ensure constructability and alignment.
• Mentor engineers and estimators for consistent quality.
• Maintain relationships with clients and general contractors.
• Track performance metrics and contribute to process improvements.
