Job summary

Niche SSP - No.1 for Estimating Talent is seeking an experienced estimator to lead preconstruction budgets and GMP-ready estimates for commercial projects in Atlanta. You will prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and quantity takeoffs, and solicit subcontractor pricing to ensure competitive, accurate bids.

You will collaborate with owners, architects, engineers, and internal teams, presenting budgets and preconstruction recommendations.

Qualifications

5+ years of estimating or preconstruction experience with a General Contractor.
Experience managing commercial construction projects through preconstruction.
Strong conceptual estimating and budgeting experience.
Knowledge of commercial construction methods, materials, and subcontractor markets.
Experience with Bluebeam, OST, or similar estimating software.
Strong client-facing, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Lead projects through the full preconstruction process from conceptual budgeting through GMP.
Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and quantity takeoffs.
Solicit, review, and level subcontractor and supplier pricing.
Manage scope development and identify potential gaps or risks.
Participate in value engineering and constructability reviews.
Work closely with owners, architects, engineers, and internal project teams.
Prepare and present budgets, cost updates, and preconstruction recommendations.
Support project turnover from preconstruction into operations.
