Job summary

Stfrancis is seeking a motivated student intern to support early-stage bid and proposal activities on commercial construction projects. You will work with the estimating team, prepare bid packages, and participate in preconstruction meetings to capture notes and follow-up actions.

Ideal candidates are currently enrolled in a four-year Construction Management or Engineering program, collaborative team players, eager to learn, and proficient in Microsoft Office.

• Currently enrolled in a four-year Construction Management or Engineering program.
• A team player ready to take on challenges.
• Eager to learn, curious, and full of questions.
• Interest in a construction career with a builder preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite programs.

Responsibilities

• Aid in preparing proposals and presentations for potential clients.
• Assist in analyzing subcontractor bids and vendor proposals to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Help prepare and assemble bid packages with all necessary documents and specifications.
• Attend and contribute to preconstruction meetings, taking notes and assisting with follow-up tasks.
• Organize and maintain project documents, including plans, specifications, and addendums.
• Participate in site visits to understand project conditions and requirements.
• Support the estimating team with quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and bid package creation.
• Use modeling software such as Revit or Navisworks to develop accurate quantities and assist estimating.
• Collaborate with operational leads, estimators, and team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of preconstruction activities.
