Jobot is seeking a preconstruction professional to join an award-winning design-build general contractor in Illinois. The role centers on pre-construction and estimating, collaborating with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to develop budgets and bids for projects from schematic design through construction documents.

Responsibilities include takeoffs, bid reviews, subcontractor buyouts, and presenting proposals.

Qualifications

• Experience in conceptual budgeting and estimating for construction projects.
• Strong ability to evaluate budgets and bids from schematic design through construction documents.
• Excellent communication with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Prepare conceptual budget estimates from schematic design through construction document phases.
• Evaluate budgets, hard-bids, and negotiated bids.
• Source and build relationships with clients and subcontractors.
• Communicate and present proposals to customers, architects, engineers, etc.
• Provide take-off reviews and estimates from construction drawings.
• Solicit and review bids from the subcontractor market.
• Assist with subcontractor selection, buyout meetings and subcontracts.
• Manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Visit construction sites to gather client requirements information.
• Coordinate bid processes with the construction project manager.
