Job summary

CORE Construction in Georgetown, TX is seeking a results-oriented Estimator to join our Texas team. The role supports preconstruction and virtual construction services for Commercial, K12, Higher Education, Healthcare and Municipal projects with costs ranging from $100K to $300M.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience as part of a preconstruction or construction operations team.
• Professional Degree in construction management, architecture or a related field (mechanical or civil engineering, construction tech, interior design, business administration) is preferred.
• Strong communications skills, both written and verbal.
• Willingness to work in-office 5 days per week.
• Ability to review and understand drawings and specifications as well as constructability.
• Basic understanding of construction project sequencing and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantity takeoffs and identify unique features of work.
• Help develop the general conditions of a project and research historical cost data.
• Assist with bid solicitation and subcontractor outreach/procurement on multiple large commercial projects.
• Assist in creating options studies, value engineering, and project scheduling.
• Assist in documenting control, tracking and distribution of construction documents; help with meeting minutes for clients and trade partners.
