Job summary

Clayco is a full-service real estate development and construction firm delivering high-quality solutions across North America. As a Preconstruction Engineer, you will drive the bidding process, craft precise estimates and proposals, and ensure complete project documentation for bidding success.

You will perform quantity take-offs, conduct constructability reviews, develop historical unit-price data, and collaborate with Commercial, Industrial, Institutional, and Residential units.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CM, engineering, architecture, or related field.
• Experience on a project management team is preferred.
• Knowledge of construction principles, practices and technology.

Responsibilities

• Drive bidding process by crafting precise estimates and proposals.
• Perform quantity take-offs and value engineering analyses.
• Manage subcontractor bids and maintain master vendor list.
• Prepare bid evaluations and assist with contract handoffs.
• Support project managers with change orders and negotiations.
