Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Preconstruction Engineer/Project Engineer to support large-scale commercial projects valued at $50M+ across the Southeast, including Florida to Atlanta. The role involves early budgeting through GMP development and collaboration with operations, design teams, and ownership.

You will prepare conceptual and detailed budgets, perform constructability reviews, and help select subcontractors while mentoring junior staff and contributing to pursuit strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 1–3+ years of preconstruction or estimating leadership experience.
• Experience on large commercial projects ($50M+).

Responsibilities

• Assist preconstruction efforts for large-scale commercial projects valued at $50M+.
• Prepare and deliver comprehensive budgets (conceptual and detailed).
• Conduct constructability and design-assist reviews throughout design phases.
• Collaborate with Operations on procurement strategies and subcontractor selection.
• Develop preliminary scopes of work and support subcontractor negotiations.
• Lead client-facing budget presentations and strategy discussions.
• Mentor junior preconstruction staff on estimating standards and COB creation.
