Job summary

Holder Construction in Dallas, TX is seeking an Engineer to join our Preconstruction team for a full-time, in-person role. You will read construction documents, perform cost estimates and quantity surveys, and help manage design issues through project phases.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field, 2–5 years of experience, and proven communication and time management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or a related construction/engineering field.
• 2–5 years of experience in construction management, preconstruction, or estimating.
• Outstanding communication and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and scheduling software.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Willingness to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand construction design documents and specifications.
• Perform construction cost estimates and quantity surveys for various scopes of work.
• Manage cost and design issues throughout project phases.
• Coordinate and manage trades, with exposure to BIM processes.
• Oversee all purchasing required to support projects, including scope coordination, proposal evaluation, trade negotiations, and contracting.
