Job summary

The Broad Institute seeks a Research Associate to advance preclinical development of liquid biopsy diagnostics using animal models. You will perform in vivo tumor implantation, dosing, imaging, and tissue collection in mice and rats, ensuring strict adherence to IACUC and AAALAC standards.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team across Broad, MIT, Harvard and affiliated hospitals to optimize methods, analyze data, and contribute to translational efforts for cancer diagnostics.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience with mouse handling, tumor models, and in vivo dosing.
• Motivated to improve diagnostics for cancer using animal studies.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills in a collaborative team.
• Working knowledge of IACUC protocols and animal care regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily care and health monitoring for laboratory animals (mice and rats).
• Perform in vivo procedures in mice and rats, including tumor implantation and imaging, under approved protocols.
• Maintain and report digital health records, daily census logs, and experimental data.
• Contribute to experimental design, analysis, and troubleshooting of in vivo studies.
