Job summary

Goldbelt Apex LLC, part of the Healthcare Technology Transformation Group, seeks a Preclinical Laboratory Research Assistant to perform comprehensive preclinical research, including behavior assessment, pathophysiology, molecular mechanisms, and chronic laboratory maintenance.

The role requires integrating literature, applying suitable methods, collecting and managing data, and performing statistical analyses to support Blast-Induced Neurotrauma research and related projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience, Biology, or related field.
• 3–5 years of preclinical laboratory research experience.
• Experience with animal handling, aseptic technique, and surgical procedures.
• Ability to develop proposals and navigate protocol approvals (IACUC/HURC).
• Strong data collection, management, and statistical analysis skills.
• Excellent literature review and scientific writing abilities.
• Must be able to obtain government CAC.

Responsibilities

• Develop research proposals aligned with military medical mission of Blast-Induced Neurotrauma research.
• Prepare written animal use and/or human subject protocols.
• Navigate IACUC and HURC to obtain protocol approvals.
• Conduct literature reviews and develop summaries for ongoing research.
• Coordinate projects, design experiments, and supervise staff.
