Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center is seeking a Shared Resources Specialist I/II - Preclinical Imaging for a 6-month, onsite role in Seattle. Responsibilities include coordinating multi-modality imaging, developing protocols, training researchers, and maintaining imaging equipment.

A mix of education paths is accepted with experience in small animal imaging. The role emphasizes collaboration, adherence to protocols, and support for investigators across core imaging services, including ultrasound,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, zoology, or related field.
Associate degree and 1+ years of preclinical imaging experience.
GED/High School Diploma and 3+ years of preclinical imaging experience.
Master's degree in biology, science, engineering, zoology, or related field; OR
Bachelor's degree in biology, science, engineering, zoology, or related field and 2 years of relevant scientific experience; OR
Associate degree and 5 years of relevant scientific experience; OR
GED/High School Diploma and 7 years of relevant scientific experience.

Responsibilities

Research Support: perform imaging studies across modalities and assist investigators.
Equipment Oversight: maintain imaging equipment and manage inventory.
Training and Education: develop SOPs and train users on imaging systems.
Administrative: document maintenance events and assist with billing.
Regulatory and Compliance: assist in IACUC protocols and ensure compliance.
