Job summary

Duderstadt Stake Company is seeking a Woodworking Machine Operator to set up and run a range of woodworking machines for shaping lumber and fabricating parts. You will read drawings, measure parts, and ensure dimensions meet specifications in a safety-conscious environment.

The role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 30 pounds, and adherence to PPE. Training on plant safety and job-specific procedures will be provided.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED preferred.
• Some experience in a woodworking/manufacturing setting is beneficial.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings is required.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate woodworking machines to surface, cut, and shape lumber.
• Verify dimensions with gauges, rulers, and templates and ensure quality.
• Read blueprints and templates to select timber and fabricate parts.
• Maintain safety standards and wear PPE as required.
• Participate in continuous improvement and safety programs.
