Job summary

Aerotek in Elgin, IL is hiring an Assembly Operator to build high-quality wire harnesses and cable assemblies in a clean, modern manufacturing setting. You’ll follow technical drawings, work with small components, and complete tasks with precision and safety.

You’ll read blueprints, perform wiring, crimping, and basic electrical assembly, rotate between stations, and contribute to on-time production. This contract-to-hire role starts onsite with competitive hourly pay of $19–$21 and generous

Qualifications

• Experience assembling wire harnesses or cable assemblies.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
• Capable of working both independently and in a team.
• Comfortable handling small parts and precision assembly.

Responsibilities

• Assemble wire harnesses and cable assemblies using work orders and drawings.
• Attach small electronic components to plastic parts with precision.
• Read and interpret blueprints and assembly instructions.
• Perform wiring, crimping, and basic electrical assembly tasks.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Kitting and material organization.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure specifications are met.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation.
• Rotate between production stations as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals.
