Job summary

Aerotek is hiring an Assembly Operator in Elgin, IL on a contract-to-hire basis. You will assemble wire harnesses and cable assemblies, read blueprints, and perform electrical assembly with hand and power tools, ensuring quality and safety on a fully onsite line.

We offer 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts with pay from $19 to $21 per hour and weekly pay. This full-time temporary-to-permanent opportunity offers weekly pay and on-site work at our Elgin facility.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints, production drawings, and assembly instructions.
• Perform wiring, crimping, soldering, and basic electrical assembly tasks.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation.

Responsibilities

• Assemble wire harnesses and cable assemblies using work orders and technical drawings
• Attach small electronic components to plastic parts with precision
• Read and interpret blueprints, production drawings, and assembly instructions
• Perform wiring, crimping, soldering, and basic electrical assembly tasks
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
• Gather and organize materials through kitting processes
• Conduct quality checks to ensure products meet specifications
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation
• Rotate between production stations as needed to support operations
• Collaborate with team members while also working independently to meet production goals
