Alloy Wheel Repair Specialists of Birmingham is seeking a skilled Shop Technician in Pelham, AL. This hands-on role restores and repairs alloy wheels to like-new condition and involves working at the heart of our operation.

You will inspect, repair, and finish wheels, operate shop equipment, and work with a team to maintain quality and safety, with opportunities for advancement and a strong focus on craftsmanship.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with auto body or wheel repair a plus.
• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, and refinish alloy wheels to specifications.
• Perform wheel straightening, welding, and repairs as needed.
• Sand, prep, and apply coatings or paint finishes to wheels.
• Operate shop equipment including lathes, grinders, and powder coating tools.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment.
• Communicate with leads regarding job status and timelines.
• Conduct quality inspections before returning wheels to customers.
