Job summary

Pomp's Tire Service in Elgin, IL is seeking an Automotive Alignment and Lube Technician to help keep vehicles rolling safely. You will analyze wheels and tires, perform alignments per manufacturer specifications, and carry out tire services using the proper tools and equipment.

You'll rotate tires, balance wheels, inspect tires and suspension, and perform oil changes and lubrication on passenger vehicles. The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work independently while

Qualifications

• Experience in passenger tire service is preferred.
• Experience with automotive oil change and lube services preferred.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good communication with customers and co-workers.
• Ability to read and verify work orders; lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct wheel alignments on vehicles per manufacturer specs.
• Diagnose and address customer tire needs.
• Inspect tires and vehicles for potential issues or repairs.
• Perform tire rotations, balancing and repairs as needed.
• Work with suspension, brake and steering systems to ensure safety.
• Perform oil changes and lubrication services on passenger vehicles.
• Inspect fluid levels and top off or replace fluids as needed.
• Replace engine air and cabin air filters, wiper blades, and similar items.
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment and equipment care.
