Job summary

TPI Staffing, Inc. in Houston is seeking a Manufacturing Welder to weld production and prototype instrumentation components using TIG and MIG.

The ideal candidate will have experience with stainless steel and precious or semi-precious metals. Responsibilities include welding production and prototype piece parts with TIG, MIG, and other applicable processes; setting up fixtures; operating programmed welding machines; supporting higher-volume production; ensuring welds meet testing requirements

Qualifications

Welding experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
Experience with TIG and/or MIG welding.
Ability to read and follow welding specifications and production requirements.
Ability to maintain required welding qualifications and certifications.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

Weld production and prototype instrumentation piece parts using TIG, MIG, and other applicable welding processes.
Work with various materials, including stainless steel, precious metals, and semi-precious metals.
Set up fixtures and lay out work for production and prototype components.
Operate programmed welding machines for production units.
Assist machine welding operators with higher-volume production as needed.
Ensure welds meet destructive and non-destructive testing requirements based on product certifications.
Maintain individual welding qualifications and certifications according to product requirements.
Perform miscellaneous welding and production duties as assigned.
