Job summary

ATI in Monroe, NC is seeking a skilled welder to plan, layout and perform welding, grinding and air arcing operations to repair parts for ATI rotary forge facilities, the press department, and outside vendors.

You will read samples, drawings and instructions to complete welding and grinding, use carbon arc, TIG and stick welding with super alloy electrodes, and ensure safe operation of equipment and processes.

Qualifications

• Experience in welding, grinding and air arcing on repair parts.
• Ability to read samples, drawings and instructions.
• Experience with TIG, stick welding and carbon arc preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, layout and perform welding, grinding and air arcing operations to repair parts.
• Detect defects and report issues to supervision.
• Operate lift trucks and cranes to move materials safely.
