The role requires reading blueprints, selecting the right welding process (MIG, TIG, or Stick), and maintaining safety and quality. You will build, fit, weld, and inspect parts, stage materials, operate shop equipment, and perform first-article and final inspections.

Qualifications

• Prior welding plus fabrication or manufacturing experience.
• Blueprint/drawing reading and interpretation proficiency.
• Accurate tape measure reading and use of precision measuring instruments.
• Demonstrated skill with welding/fab equipment, hand, and power tools.
• Strong mechanical aptitude; detail-driven mindset.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to assess quality and dimensional conformity.
• Independent contributor who collaborates well; reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Build, fit, assemble, and weld per blueprints, fabrication drawings, work orders, and production specs.
• Stage materials: measure, cut, grind, drill, fit, change wire, and swap gas tanks.
• Interpret technical drawings and fabrication specifications with precision.
• Verify dimensions using tape measures, calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Operate welding/fabrication machinery, hand tools, and power tools safely.
• Conduct first-article and final inspections for accuracy and weld quality.
• Assist with material handling: loading, unloading, and staging.
• Identify equipment issues; perform basic maintenance and adjustments.
• Maintain a clean, organized, hazard-free work cell.
