Job summary

Kinney Manufacturing, LLC in Lincoln, Nebraska, is seeking a skilled welder to lay out, fit, and weld fabricated metal components using a variety of arc and gas welding equipment. You will read blueprints and work within safety and quality standards to produce consistent welds.

Responsibilities include selecting the best welding techniques, completing jobs on time, keeping equipment well-maintained, and working collaboratively in a cell or solo as needed.

Qualifications

• Six months to one year related experience and/or training.
• Must be able to read, write and comprehend the English language.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work as a team and in cell or individually.
• Physically strenuous work with standing up to 5 hours and repetitive movements.

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams or schematics to determine welding process.
• Produce welds that meet quality standards.
• Determine best assembly/welding technique for safety, quality and productivity.
• Accept assigned jobs and complete them within the allocated time.
• Ensure equipment is in proper working order at start of shift or when starting a new job.
• Ability to work as a team in a cell or individually, as needed.
• Flexible to move to other departments as sales demand dictates.
• Document scrap creation and assist with determining reason for scrap.
• Any other tasks as assigned by Production Lead.
