Contech Engineered Solutions in Topeka, KS is seeking a Welder to join our fabrication team. You will read blueprints, set up and weld components for drainage, piping, bridges and structures, ensuring precise fabrication and adherence to safety standards.

You should have a high school diploma or GED and proficiency in MIG and Stick welding. Technical welding training or experience is strongly preferred. We offer competitive wages and good benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required or equivalent.
• Proficiency in MIG and Stick welding is required.
• Technical welding training or prior welding experience is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and welding procedures to ensure accurate welding.
• Uses template, pattern, scribe, etc. to mark and lay out material.
• Aligns and assembles product for welding using crane, lever hoist, chains, etc.
• Uses cutting or plasma torch to burn to precision layout.
• Adheres to safety protocols to create a secure work environment.
