Job summary

Twin City Fan & Blower in Aberdeen, SD is seeking a skilled welder/fabricator to read shop orders and blueprints, perform welding in multiple positions, and assemble metal structures. You will inspect weld quality and help ensure parts meet engineering specifications while maintaining a clean, safe work area.

The role involves using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, following standard instructions, and repairing welded parts as required.

Qualifications

Requires high school diploma or equivalent and up to 2 years experience.
Ability to read and understand shop orders and blueprints.
Able to read welding symbols and perform related tasks.
Proficient with hand tools and measuring devices.
May operate forklift or crane depending on department.

Responsibilities

Use standard work instructions and blueprints when available.
Visually inspect weld quality.
Fabricates and assembles metal structures.
Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal, or overhead).
Rework and/or repair welded parts and products according to engineering changes.
Complete run out checks.
Fit Wheels and Fans with limited supervision.
Maintain weld machines using preventative maintenance methods.
Maintain clean work area and adhere to safety practices.
