Job summary

Cal Process Welding Inc in Modesto, CA is seeking a skilled Welder/Fitter to join our hands-on fabrication team. You will read blueprints, fit and weld structural and piping components, and ensure craftsmanship meets project specs. A strong safety mindset and reliable work ethic are essential.

You will work with MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding on various materials, inspecting welds and maintaining a clean, safe workspace while collaborating with teammates to hit tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Welder/Fitter in industrial, structural, or process piping environments.
• Ability to read blueprints, isometric drawings, and weld symbols.
• AWS certification or equivalent welding certifications preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a team-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings to plan and execute welds.
• Fit, align, and tack weld structural and process piping components to specifications.
• Perform MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and other materials.
• Inspect completed welds for quality, accuracy, and compliance with project requirements.
• Operate hand tools, grinders, and cutting equipment to prepare and finish weld joints.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in accordance with safety standards.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines and quality goals.
