Job summary

Senneca is hiring a Welder/Fitter to align and weld structural tubes and plates per engineered drawings and weld procedures. The role requires reading blueprints, MIG (GMAW) and Flux Core (FCAW) welding of carbon steel, and strict adherence to WPS and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of welding certification program or equivalent experience preferred.
• AWS D1.1 certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Fit and weld structural tube assemblies and components per fabrication drawings and WPS requirements.
• Perform layout, cutting, grinding, and fitting operations to prepare materials.
• Verify dimensions and alignment using measuring tools, squares, and levels.
• Perform MIG (GMAW) and/or Flux Core (FCAW) welding of carbon steel materials.
• Maintain high-quality weld appearance, size, and penetration.
• Work independently or as part of a fabrication team to meet production schedules.
• Inspect welds for conformance and report nonconformities to supervision.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear PPE.
