Qualifications

• Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures, including TIG, MMA, and other welding methods.
• Experience using electrical and manual tools, such as saws, squares, calipers, and other measuring instruments.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and drawings.
• Knowledge of applicable safety standards and a willingness to use PPE.
• Completion of a relevant apprenticeship program is required.
• Professional certification, such as an AWS Welding Certification, is a plus.
• Background check and Drug test required.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and drawings and take accurate measurements to plan layouts and welding procedures.
• Determine appropriate welding equipment, tools, and techniques based on project requirements.
• Set up and prepare components for welding according to specifications.
• Operate angle grinders and other tools to prepare surfaces and components for welding.
• Align components using measuring tools and secure pieces with clamps.
• Weld components using manual or semi-automatic equipment in various positions.
• Repair machinery and structural components by welding and filling gaps.
• Test and inspect welded surfaces to identify defects and ensure quality.
