Job summary

Alamo Industrial is seeking a welder to lay out, fit and weld fabricated steel frames on the production floor using MIG equipment. You will measure and mark locations, verify positions with precision tools, and perform welds under supervision. The role requires reading blueprints and operating a forklift/overhead crane as needed.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and 2 years weld experience, with 1 year preferred. Expect a safety-focused environment with overtime as required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read blueprints with weld symbols and specifications.
• Ability to read measuring devices.
• Manual dexterity; mechanically inclined and good eye/hand coordination.
• Ability to operate a forklift and overhead crane.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding on fabricated steel frames and metal parts per blueprints.
• Set up MIG welding equipment and verify component positions on assembly table.
• Load, pick, and gather parts as directed by supervisor or lead.
• Guide electrodes and filler rod along joints to weld components.
• Communicate issues to supervisor or lead and work in teams.
• Complete defect-free parts in a timely manner.
• May perform other assigned duties as needed.
