Job summary

Alamo Industrial on the production floor welds fabricated steel frames and metal parts using MIG welding equipment. Workers read blueprints, measure components with calipers or rulers, and perform welds under supervision while maintaining a safe environment.

Typical duties include gathering parts, welding to standard joints, and communicating issues to the lead. Education requires a HS diploma or GED with welding experience preferred; forklift/overhead crane experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Ability to read blueprints with weld symbols and specifications.
• Ability to read measuring devices such as calipers or rulers.
• High school diploma / GED or equivalent of 2 years welding experience required.
• One year welding experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Layout, fit and weld fabricated steel frames per blueprints.
• Perform weld operations under supervision of a Welder II or lead.
• Pick and gather parts as directed for welding.
• Maintain safety and communicate issues to supervisor/lead.
