Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read build sheets and blueprints.
• Ability to work rapidly and under time pressure.

Responsibilities

• Weld together metal components using electric arc-welding equipment or spot welder as specified.
• Set up electrode wire per procedure and prepare welding equipment.
• Position and clamp work pieces or assemble in a jig or fixture.
• Strike arc and guide electrode to form fusion and bead.
• Examine weld bead size and quality; clean joints as needed.
• Run spot welder and ensure proper tips are used.
• Maintain safe work practices and 5S housekeeping.
