Job summary

Safe Fleet is hiring for a welding-focused manufacturing role in Belton, Missouri. The position requires welding galvanized, carbon steel and aluminum, with plasma cutting and platform welding as needed. Strong emphasis on safety and quality, with duties spanning from fabrication to shipping preparation.

The candidate should have a high school diploma, basic welding experience, and be able to pass a pulmonary function test. CWI certification is preferred and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months of hands-on experience in a manufacturing facility, small part assembly preferred.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends, as needed.
• Reliable and dependable attendance.
• MIG/TIG wire feed welding skills; Aluminum welding and Robotics strongly preferred.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in written form with supervisors and co-workers.
• Mechanical aptitude preferred.
• Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 lbs., frequent standing and bending.
• Safety glasses with side shields required in manufacturing environment.
• Must have or be able to obtain CWI certification.
• Ability to pass a pulmonary function test.

Responsibilities

• Welding of galvanized, carbon steel and aluminum materials and assemblies.
• Plasma and stitch cutting.
• Weld Platforms and pennant plates as needed.
• Prepare assemblies for shipping.
• Perform inspections of own work.
• Maintain Kan Ban levels.
• Other duties as assigned.
