Job summary

JLG Ind. seeks a skilled welder to read blueprints, position parts with an overhead crane, and lay down clean welds in any position. You will ensure tolerances meet exacting standards, finish welds with grinders, and maintain safety and 6S on the production floor.

The role requires overtime as needed, reliability in attendance, and the ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to loud noises and varying temperatures.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read complex blueprints and follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
• Experience welding in manufacturing with precise tolerances and cleanliness.
• Comfort with reading measuring tools to verify specs before and after welds.

Responsibilities

• Weld metal components to exact specifications in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions.
• Position parts using an overhead crane and assemble subassemblies and final products.
• Finish welds with grinders and ensure clean, compliant surfaces; maintain safety and 6S.
• Occasionally cross-train across production areas and work overtime as needed.
