Job summary

Precision Castparts seeks a Wax Pattern Production Assembler B in a training capacity to assemble moderately complex wax patterns and gating components. You will follow detailed technique cards, use torches and hand tools, and ensure dimensional integrity while learning on the job.

The role requires the ability to lift heavy objects, work in a manufacturing environment with noise and fumes, and demonstrate strong manual dexterity.

Qualifications

  • 9–12 months of production wax assembly experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of assembly techniques, fixturing and construction.
  • Ability to follow and communicate complex written and verbal instructions, and to perform arithmetic calculations.
  • Demonstrated high degree of manual dexterity.
  • Ability to lift 30–50 pounds and occasionally up to 125 pounds.
  • Work in conditions with noise, fumes, crowding, awkward positions, abrasions, cuts, and chemicals.

Responsibilities

  • Pre-inspects pattern and gating components prior to assembly.
  • Reads and follows technique card assembly instructions describing moderately complex steps.
  • Assembles wax patterns and gating components using hand tools; welds gates with torch or hot pencil.
  • Assembles moderately complex patterns and uses fixtures to maintain dimensional control.
  • Inspects assemblies during and after assembly for defects and quality.
