Job summary

Compass Minerals, a leader in essential minerals, is seeking a Warehouse Operator to support loading and unloading operations. You will operate a forklift, retrieve stock, and ensure pallets are properly stacked and loaded onto trailers and railcars.

The role requires reading work orders, inspecting pallets for damage, and following strict food-grade and safety procedures to prevent contamination and loss during transit. Strong safety focus and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to walk, stand, bend and lift up to 80 pounds.
• Experience operating a forklift and loading/unloading pallets.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Review work orders to identify products to be loaded on correct trailers.
• Inventory trucks on lot for how many and who sets trailers they are and matches to droplist.
• Operate forklift to retrieve stock from warehouse and load on trailers and railcars.
• Monitor pallets and products for damage and repair pallets if possible.
• Move railcars into position for loading.
• Follow food-grade procedures to protect from contamination or theft during transit.
