Job summary

NFI Industries in Edison, NJ is seeking a dependable Selector to accurately select, stage, ship and receive product in our warehouse. You will maintain inventory accuracy, support productivity goals and follow safety procedures, with opportunities to operate pallet jacks and other equipment.

Responsibilities include pulling orders, packing shipments, performing inspections, and helping with cycle counts, sanitation, and general warehouse tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 6 months of electric pallet jack operation experience.
• Must be able to get NFI certified on electric pallet jack.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
• Effective customer service skills and basic math competencies.

Responsibilities

• Operates all material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Loads and unloads freight in an efficient, accurate, and safe manner.
• Moves product to designated storage areas using material handling equipment.
• Picks customer orders, assembling various types of merchandise for shipment.
• Processes orders including picking, checking, sorting, consolidating freight, wrapping pallets, packing, loading, and completing shipment confirmations.
• Verifies freight accuracy and checks for damage or infestation.
• Assists with physical inventories and cycle counts as needed.
• Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
• Performs sanitation duties as assigned.
