Job summary

Safran Defense & Space, Inc. is seeking a Probe Test Technician to perform electrical probe testing on wafers, ROICs, and infrared detector arrays in a cleanroom environment.

You will operate manual and semi-automatic probe stations, align probe cards, and collect data critical to yield and product quality. The role requires hands-on experience with probe stations, electrical measurements, and adherence to ITAR and ESD controls.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Associate's degree or technical certificate preferred.
• 3+ years semiconductor probe/test experience preferred; equivalent military electronics experience considered.
• Hands-on experience operating wafer probe stations and performing electrical test in semiconductor env.
• Solid knowledge of basic electrical measurement principles (V, I, R, C) and I-V characterization.
• Excellent wafer/die handling and cleanroom/ESD discipline.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate wafer probe stations for wafer, die, and packaged devices.
• Handle wafers, detector arrays, and sensor assemblies with cleanroom practices.
• Load, align, and probe wafers; run test programs for ICs, ROICs, infrared detectors.
• Perform electrical/temperature characterization using probe stations and calibrated equipment.
• Maintain data and traceability; generate wafer maps, yield reports, and statistics.
