Job summary

Oshkosh Corporation seeks a Prep & Trim Technician in Oshkosh, WI to remove and replace components for painting, perform surface prep, masking, priming, and painting operations on vehicles or components. You will ensure cleanliness, protect areas, and assist with move and prep tasks across stations in the facility.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and preferred manufacturing experience; familiarity with measuring tools is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or its equivalent.
• Experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and use measuring tools such as calipers and scales.

Responsibilities

• Sand entire vehicle or component, painted or unpainted.
• Perform minor body work.
• Wash entire vehicle or component.
• Mask, paper or grease components to be protected from paint.
• Prime and paint assemblies or components where a fine finish is not required.
• Demask, degrease vehicles or components.
• Apply stencils, labels, logos, sandpaint, nonskid etc., as required.
• Clean entire vehicle or components of overspray, grease rust- proof, and dirt to ready product for shipment.
• Drive vehicle as required in- to building from station to station and out of building and operate equipment as necessary.
• Move parts carts by hand or with forklift.
• Rustproof vehicle or components (certification required).
